Lockstar Finance was established in early 2016, we're a Family Owned, Australian Owned & 100% Independent Organisation which offers financial products and services within the Australian Finance Industry. We process and assess clients information in respect of loan applications before submitting to one of our 54 Panel Lenders . We match lenders and loan products to best suit our clients financial goals, needs, requirements and short-term and long-term objectives.

We offer Deposit Bond Guarantees through Deposit Power Pty Ltd (ABN: 49 160 226 442) which is an Authorised Manager for CBL Insurance Ltd and we also offer Deposit Bonds Guarantees through Deposit Bonds Australia Pty Ltd
(ABN: 28 003 772 487).

We offer the Crown Rate Reducer & the Crown Money Management products through Crown Money Management (ACN: 119 504 862) with Australian Credit Licence Number: 388279 and we offer Income Protection, Life Insurance, Superannuation, Retirement Planning, Tax Mitigation Strategies, Centrelink Assistance & Other Financial Planning Products through Hanley And Billings Family Trust (ABN: 99 517 095 278 ) T/A Triple J Financial Planning Solutions.

Credit Information

When we refer to Credit Information we mean information that has been retained on your credit file which is used and gathered to predict your future, eligibility and credit worthiness. Credit Information is usually exchanged between lenders, lenders mortgage insurance providers and credit reporting agencies for the purposes of assessing your application for finance and managing that finance. If you're applying for finance with one of our lenders, we may collect credit information such as but not limited to the following:

  • Full Name including Previous Names;

  • Date of Birth & Sex;

  • Residence Details & History;

  • Contact Numbers & Email Addresses;

  • Bank Account Details & History;

  • Name of Credit Providers that has been applied for;

  • Paid & Unpaid Default(s) Information;

  • Employment History & Occupation Details;

  • Maximum Amount of Finance Available;

  • Type of Finance that has been applied for;

  • Terms & Conditions of the Finance;

  • Outstanding Finance & Accounts;

  • Repayment History on Liabilities;

  • Bankruptcy Information;

  • Court Proceeding Information;

  • ABN & ACN Registration Information;

  • Credit Infringements, Fraudulent Evading & Information;

  • Credit Scoring, Credit Ratings & Credit Worthiness;

We may disclose your credit information to overseas entities that provide support to us or our lender panel. If you fail to meet your payment obligations in relation to any finance that we have provided or arranged or you have committed a serious credit infringement then we may disclose this information to any credit reporting agency, our panel of lenders, lenders mortgage insurance providers and any other parties in relation to managing your finance requirements.

Sensitive information
We will only collect sensitive information about you with your consent. Sensitive information is personal information that includes information such as but not limited to the following:

Health Information
When we refer to Health Information we mean information relating to your physical and mental well-being which may be used to assess your eligibility when applying for an insurance product. Insurance products may include: Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, Home Loan Protection, Personal Loan & Credit Card Protection, Health Insurance, Funeral Insurance, Income Protection and any other personal insurance product.
If you're applying for an insurance product through us we may collect health information such as but not limited to the following:

  • Smoker or Non-Smoker Including Dosage;

Collecting Information

We collect personal, credit, sensitive and health information for the purposes of assessing your application for finance and managing that finance with our lender panel. We may collect your information for the purposes of direct marketing and managing our relationship with you. From time to time we may offer you other products and services.

Where reasonable and practical we will collect your information directly from you and will not be passed on or sold to any third parties unless we have your verbal or written consent. We may collect and store your information from any third parties which include but not limited to the following:

  • ATO, Centrelink, Medicare & Government Authorities;

  • Accountants, Financial Planners & Employers;

  • Referees, Lenders & Credit Providers;

  • Builders & Developers;

  • Insurance Providers & Other Brokers;

  • Other Third Parties which you've previously dealth with;

  • Credit Reporting Agencies;

  • Real Estate Agents & Property Managers;

  • Conveyancers & Lawyers;

  • Guarantors, Executors, Administrators & Attorneys;

Disclosing Information
We may disclose your personal, credit, sensitive and health information to any third parties which include the following but not limited to the following:

  • prospective lenders or other intermediaries in relation to managing your finance requirements;

  • companies that provide information and infrastructure systems to us;

  • any other third party that represents you and/or where you have provided us verbal or written consent;

  • organisations that provide products and/or services used or marketed by us;

  • call centres, credit assessors, underwriters, lenders mortgage insurers and credit reporting agencies;

  • investors, advisors, valuers, real estate agents, conveyancers, lawyers and accountants;

  • ATO, Centrelink, Medicare, Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 & Government Authorities;

  • your employer, other applicants, gurantors, referees and/or identity verification services.


Prior to disclosing any of your personal, credit, sensitive and health information to another person or organisation, we will take all reasonable steps to satisfy ourselves that:

(a)     the person/organisation has a commitment to protecting your information at least equal to our commitment, and/or
(b)     you have given us consent to make the disclosure.



Updating Information
It's vitally important that all personal, credit, sensitive and health information we hold about you is accurate and up to date as soon as possible. During the course of our relationship with you we may ask you to inform us if any of your information has changed. Protecting Information
We take extreme measures to protect your personal, credit, sensitive and health information by storing it in a secure environment (password protected and/or fingerprint scanned recognition). All information is stored in electronic format. Any paperwork containing information will be scanned and electronically stored in a secure place (password proteced) and then any hard evidence will be destroyed either by a secured destruction bin (shredded first and then collected by secure third party company) or shredded and burned in a contained fire-place.

We take extreme measures to protect all information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, modification and/or disclosure however, we will not be held responsible for events arising from unauthorised access. In addition, our employees and the contractors who provide services related to our information systems are obliged to respect the confidentiality of any information held by us.

We also strive to ensure the security, integrity and privacy of your information once it's submitted through our website and we review and update our security features in light of current technologies. Unfortunately any transmission over the Internet is not guaranteed to be 100% secure however once received, your information will be stored in a secure environment (password protected and/or fingerprint scanned recognition).

Tax File Numbers
If we receive Government Information such as Tax File Numbers on a document, usually not limited to: Tax Returns, Group Certificates & Notice of Assessments. We'll take extreme measures to remove your Tax File Number from every page and every document before storing and/or submitting your application to our panel of lenders. We do not use or disclose this information other than required by law. We will never use Government Information in order to identify you.


Privacy Policy Changes
We're constantly reviewing all of our policies and attempting to keep up to date with market and legislation requirements. Technology is constantly changing, as is the law and market place expectations. You may request our Privacy Policy in alternative format such as email, fax, and/or writting.

We reserve the right, at our discretion, to modify or remove portions of our Privacy Policy at any time. Our Privacy Policy is in addition to any other terms and conditions applicable. We do not make any representations about third party web sites that may be linked to our web site.


Complaints & Disputes
